Find Sacred Moments in Advent

Nov 26, 2025 | From Pastor Gary

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Holy moments or sacred moments are when we look for God in the little things: the laughter over coffee with a friend, the warmth of a hug, the kindness of a stranger, or the beauty of a sunrise or sunset. Life with God isn’t just about big, extraordinary moments. It is about recognizing His presence in the everyday things in our life. I encourage you to pause,
notice and celebrate the simple joys. When you choose to see Him in the ordinary, every moment becomes an act of worship.
These “Moments” refer to brief instances in our daily lives where we can choose to act
with goodness, truth, and love. They are opportunities to collaborate with God and create meaningful experiences that can lead to personal and spiritual growth. Which will lead us to pure joy.
In this season of Advent, we tend to get so busy with different things getting ready for Christmas that we lose sight of what it is all about. We miss the holy and sacred moments in it. Because of that we tend to get worn out and don’t find any joy or peace in it. We become irritable and take it out on those we love most. And in doing that, we are not doing it for the glory of God. We need to slow down so we don’t miss these moments in our lives. I am not only saying this for you, but also for myself. We can so easily get all caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that we end up hurting our relationship with God and our family
and friends.
Every moment counts. Each moment presents a choice to act in a way that reflects our values and beliefs. By recognizing these opportunities as a holy/sacred moment, we can transform ordinary interactions into a holy or sacred moment. When we do that, we collaborate with God and participate in the creation of goodness in world. Holy or sacred moments can manifest in various ways, such as offering a kind word, showing patience, helping someone in need, or choosing forgiveness instead of resentment. These small acts can lead to profound changes in our lives and the lives of others.

My prayer is this: Lord, help us to slow down and notice Your presence in our daily lives.
Open our eyes to the simple joys and teach us to glorify You in everything we do. Amen.
May you have a Holy and Sacred Advent and Christmas Season.

God’s Blessings,

Pastor Gary
